In the main event, Sting defeated A.J. Styles to retain the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. Booker T (pictured earlier in 2008) fended off Christian Cage to retain the TNA Legends Championship. Kevin Nash bested Samoa Joe in a featured event, and Kurt Angle defeated Abyss in a Falls Count Anywhere match. Turning Point had an attendance of 1,100 people and, according to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, a PPV audience of 30,000. Bryan and Chris Sokol of the professional wrestling section of the Canadian Online Explorer website rated the event 7 out of 10, up from the 2007 event's rating of 6.5.
